MY WORK & CONTRIBUTIONS

New Seasons Market

Here are some examples of larger campaigns done over the last few years:

Solomon Exam Prep

These are some of the flyers I created using Canva and press releases I have put together for Solomon Exam Prep.

We put together a commercial for the Annual 2014 SILA Conference. This video brought us brand recognition at the conference and got us visitors to our booth.

In 2013 we released a brand new website and student portal. I put together this video to show potential customers how our materials and website work.

Our Online Exam Simulator is a key product in the study process. This video highlights our system and teaches students how to utilize it.

Portland Winterhawks

At the beginning of the season I brain stormed new promotions that we could host throughout the season. The hockey demographic is mainly male and I felt that a Ladies' Night promotion would bring more female attendees and boost future attendance.  The next step was to find sponsors that also wanted to target the female demographic and get them on board for such a promotion.

Our sponsorship department was able to secure LaRog Brothers as a sponsor, and they provided us a $10,000 diamond ring to giveaway. We immediately put together a video/commercial to promote this event and planned out how to execute the on-ice giveaway.

After weeks of planning and promotions via Facebook, radio, Wintehawks games, and LaRog in-store signage, we had our contestants. We also did a live drawing at the game for an additional contestant.

We encouraged female fans to show up an hour before the game and enjoy our Ladies' Lounge. We partnered with Live 95.5 and KUPL to reach a wider female audience and to provide pre-game entertainment. They brought in a local artist, Ian James, to play for the ladies. We also worked with Twisted Locks salon to offer free hair styling by professionals prior to the game. Lastly, the lounge had a special "Hawktini" drink that was created just for the event.

We put together a special Ladies' section in the Rose Garden, near the Ladies' Lounge, so female attendees could enjoy the festivities and easily reach their seats. The excitement leading up to the ring giveaway was amazing and brought in a huge crowd. The event was so succesful that it was continued in the following years.

Everyone loves Joey the Junior Reporter, from the Chicago Blackhawks. When he first started he was a big hit in our office and we felt that we could use this to capture our junior demographic and provide in-game and pre-game entertainment for our fans.

We pitched the idea and Fred Meyer loved it! With that, our own Junior Reporter was born.

Auditions were held at numerous Fred Meyer locations. Some kids were excited, some were scared and shy, and some were funny. One little girl imparticular was all of those things and stole our hearts.

With that, we introduced everyone to Bailey! She did a couple of player interviews for us, which were shown during the game, as well as posted to our social media channels. During all showings Fred Meyer would receive "bowl dominance" (meaning their logo would be shown everywhere during that time).

This was a great promotion for both the Winterhawks & Fred Meyer. Auditions were held again the following year, with a new Junior Reporter being chosen.

After the Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup in 2011, each member of the team was given a day with the cup, as is hockey tradition.

Tom McVie, a scout for the Bruins and a former Portland Buckaroo, decided to share his day with all Portland hockey fans. We quickly jumped in to action to pick a place to host thousands of hockey fans, Tom McVie, and the Stanley Cup.

We chose to host this event at Pioneer Courthouse Square, which provided ample space and a central location for our fans. We secured the location and drafted our set-up, so that fans could have their picture taken with the cup, meet Tom McVie, and have other activities to entertain them while waiting.

We were able to secure 750 The Game as an event partner, which ensured that the promotion reached the ears of as many Oregon sports fans as possible. On-air promotions began two weeks before the event and continued through the event day.

Before the event, McVie took the Cup on a media tour. He visited KOIN's Studio 6 as well as KATU and Alpha Broadcasting.

Thousands of fans stood in line to have their moment with the cup.  750 The Game broadcasted live from the event, Winterhawks players were on-site to sign autographs, and young fans were able to participate in a puck-shoot to win prizes.

Overall the event was a great success and brought out thousands of hockey fans to honor the legacy of Tom McVie and the Stanley Cup.
